The #8212 is for Pride (and some other manufacturers) standard size single motor chairs made after November 2006 that has a quick disconnect plug on the end of the cord; it is a straight connector, and plugs into an extension cable either in the side pocket of the chair, or in the back of the chair.

The male hand control plug and the female extension cable plug fit together, and then a plastic lever folds over to lock the two plugs together.  If your chair has a one piece cord with a 90 degree plug that plugs into the transformer mounted to the motor underneath the chair, you will need to order our part #8210.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This control used to work with a an oversize heavy duty chair with a Dewert system with two motors that pick the chair up & down.  However, the new design of this control by Pride will not let it work with a two motor chair any longer.  If you don’t know whether your chair has one or two motors, lie the chair down on its side and look underneath; there will either be one motor or two motors that raise and lower the chair.  If you have a chair with two motors that pick the chair up & down, you will need to order our part #8210.
