This is a newer style hand control that Golden started using a few years ago, when all the lift chair manufacturers started using lighted hand controls.

If you are not a fan of the lighted control, or you don’t care if your hand control lights up or not, you can use our part #6212 control (which is what Golden used for many years before they went to this one). As you can see, it is a black control with two white buttons; it doesn’t light up or have the wood grain finish, but it is a good bit cheaper than this newer control. We have both in stock, so it all comes down to your preference.
